SCUFFED NETWORK LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective September 30, 2026 · Last updated October 9, 2026
This policy explains how Scuffed Network LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information when you visit the scuffed.pink personal homepage and its interactive desktop. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
Information used to run the homepage
You can explore the homepage without creating an account or submitting a form. Requests to load pages and files pass through Cloudflare to our OVHcloud-hosted server. These providers process technical information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser and device information, and security signals to deliver content, protect the website, troubleshoot problems, and provide traffic and security statistics.
Our server keeps access and error logs. Access logs record the connecting network address, request, time, response status, response size, referring page when supplied, and browser identifier. For requests proxied through Cloudflare, the connecting address in these server logs is normally Cloudflare’s address; Cloudflare still receives the visitor’s IP address.
Preferences stored on your device
The desktop stores your selected wallpaper and interface-sound setting in your browser’s local storage under ed-desktop-prefs. These preferences are read by the homepage on your device; the homepage does not upload them to us. They have no automatic expiration. You can reset them in Desktop settings or remove them using your browser’s site-data controls. Resetting the desktop restores default preferences; clearing site data removes the stored entry.
Embedded music and artwork
Opening the Music window loads Spotify’s player and supporting scripts. Spotify receives connection and device information and may use cookies or other storage under its own privacy practices, including in connection with an existing Spotify login. Music does not start automatically. Closing the Music window stops playback and removes the player. Minimizing it or using Show Desktop keeps music playing in the background. Reopening a closed window loads a fresh player without starting playback. Resetting the desktop or leaving the page also removes the player.
Opening Recently Watched loads the site owner’s viewing list from our server. Artwork is loaded from Trakt’s image service, which receives connection information such as your IP address and browser identifier. Artwork requests omit the referring-page header. This feature displays the owner’s viewing history; it does not read your viewing history or require your Trakt account.
These providers may process information for their own purposes, including measuring use of their services, subject to their policies. See Spotify’s Privacy Policy and Trakt’s Privacy Policy. You can avoid loading these embedded features by not opening their windows, or use your browser’s controls to restrict third-party requests and storage.
Gameplay videos and Steam activity
Opening or restoring the Games window loads a video selected from a shuffled rotation and connects your browser to YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, which receives connection information such as your IP address, browser information, and the referring site. Playback starts only when you press Play. Closing, minimizing, or hiding the Games window through Show Desktop removes the player. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that no information is processed. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Recently played on Steam shows the site owner’s games and playtime over the last two weeks. Our server retrieves this information periodically and serves a limited cache; visitors do not sign into Steam or provide their own gaming activity. Displaying game artwork connects your browser to Steam’s content delivery service, which receives connection information; artwork requests omit the referring-page header. See Steam’s Privacy Policy. Profile links, including Medal, only open when you choose to follow them.
Photos & Videos
The personal collection loads a small preview from our server. Opening its window loads the selected photo; video files load only when you choose to play. The flashing-lights acknowledgment is held only in page memory and resets when you reload or close the tab. It is not sent to our server or saved in browser storage. The library shows photos and videos newest first, grouped by month and year in Los Angeles time. Its public catalog includes the month/year and whether the date comes from capture, creation, modification, or when the item was added. Exact timestamps, original location, and device metadata are excluded from public copies; original files and an encrypted metadata catalog are retained privately by the site owner. Visible information in a photo or video remains part of that content.
Weather and links
The weather display uses a fixed Los Angeles location and weather information fetched by our server. The homepage does not request your device’s location. Following an external link takes you to a destination with its own privacy practices.
Cookies, security, and privacy signals
The desktop code does not set advertising cookies or include an advertising or visitor-profiling SDK. Cloudflare may use security cookies, such as a challenge-clearance cookie, and browser checks to distinguish legitimate requests from abuse. Blocking these can affect access. See Cloudflare’s cookie information and Privacy Policy.
The homepage does not currently change its behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. We do not use homepage visitor information to sell advertising or build cross-site advertising profiles. Embedded providers may handle browser privacy signals differently; their controls and policies apply to their processing.
If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and anything else you choose to send. We use that information to respond and handle your request. Please avoid sending passwords or other sensitive information that is not needed for your question.
Sharing and security
Information is handled by the hosting, delivery, security, and embedded-content providers described above as needed for those features. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to investigate abuse or protect people and the website. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.
We use HTTPS and access restrictions to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
How long information is kept
Our web-server logs are configured for daily rotation with 14 rotated files retained. This is a rotation policy, not a guarantee that every record is deleted exactly 14 days after a visit; empty logs and interruptions can affect timing. These web-server logs are not included in our scheduled site backups.
Browser preferences remain until reset or removed as described above. Correspondence and copies in email backups do not currently have a fixed automatic deletion deadline; contact us to request deletion. Records may need to be retained to address an ongoing request, security incident, or legal obligation. Cloudflare, Spotify, and Trakt control retention within their services under their respective policies.
Your choices and requests
You can clear browser storage, restrict cookies and third-party content, and choose whether to open embedded features. To ask about information we hold, request access, correction, or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email [email protected]. Applicable rights depend on your location and circumstances. We may need enough information to verify and locate a request; we will not ask for your password. We may be unable to associate a visit with you because the homepage has no visitor accounts.
Changes to this policy
We will post changes on this page and update the date above. Changes to the homepage’s data practices should be reflected here.
